I fell head over heals for the Devon the first time I laid eyes on them. They are just like little monkeys and give me so much pleasure. The intriguing appearance and charm of the Devon Rex appeals to lovers of the unusual and exotic. The startling, dramatic eyes and strikingly oversized ears give the Devon an elfin or extraterrestrial look. They always find life amusing and are themselves referred to as clowns for their antics which never tire to amuse.

Devons come in all colours including colour point and are a small to medium size cat. They have a very short wavy coat. Most do not have whiskers or eyebrows as they are brittle and snap easily. Although Devons love to play, they are also very affectionate. Because they only have minute guard hairs they do not shed all over the furnishings and are allergy friendly. They dislike the cold and will need jumpers for our Australian Winters. They are the first to jump in bed at night and the last to get up in the morning. They love to have conversations with you, hang up the phone on you, and are also known to play fetch and can be toilet trained to use the human loo!!

There was a myopathy problem in the breed in Australia but since the gene pool has been extended the problem has now been bred out. All my kittens are bred for indoor companions.
